Hayley is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known characters can be Erica Goldberg who stars in 'The Goldbergs,' an American comedy show. However, she considers herself primarily a musician. Music has always been her first passion. At the age of 12 the world of music had become serious enough for her to pursue a career in music. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. Since then, she has not stopped since then. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic roots. Although she spoke only English as a child and never been to Mexico Orrantia feels extremely proud of her Hispanic heritage. To keep her heritage, she's learned Spanish and composed songs using the language. The singer recorded a Spanish version of a song called 'Hasta Verte. Orrantia was picked to perform for the X Factor's inaugural season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia got selected as a result of an YouTube video that she submitted and got the judges' four "yes" vote from jury at the time of live auditions at Seattle, Washington. Her initial audition was a solo performer, but after "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were placed in a group to continue the auditions. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live shows.
