Lisa Olivia Munn is a resident of Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Kimberly Schmid, lived in Vietnam and has Chinese heritage, while her dad, Winston Barrett Munn, comes from a family that has long-standing roots in The American South. Her parents divorced when she was the age of two. Her family consisted of her mother who was with the United States Air Force, as well as her stepfather. Although the family departed Oklahoma and lived in a variety of places, she was raised within Tokyo, Japan. At the time, she appeared in several local theatre productions. In later years, she became an Japanese model. Olivia moved from Japan to Los Angeles when her family finally returned in the United States to follow her dream to be an actress. Following a series of minor parts, Olivia landed a role after she was cast as Mily Acua on the Hawaii television series Beyond the Break 2006 and as the receptionist of Rob Schneider. She hosts "The Daily Nut" as well as the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. Her passion for surfing has been evident following the television series Beyond the Break. The black belt she holds is Taekwondo. At the age of two, her mother got married again, but this time with the same US Air Force member. Though the family relocating many times, she was primarily raised within Tokyo, Japan, where her stepfather's military was stationed. The university she attended was her at University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major, with minors in Japanese and drama art.
