Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American author, singer and performer well-known for her character Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. Her stage career began in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she performed in several Broadway shows before becoming the most famous on stage together with Li'l Abner, in the year 1957. She also released her first music album It's Time for Tina in the same year. Louise first appeared in Hollywood as Griselda Walden, in God's Big Acre, a drama from 1957. The film was an enormous success and Louise got the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. In New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her relationship to Lee Strasberg. Her most memorable performance came in 1964. The actress signed with CBS to play Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to play between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as against her famous image as a glamorous doll.
