Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host for the Food Network's most popular program, Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career in the White House as a writer of documents on nuclear energy and also the budget. Although she initially found it interesting, she soon lost interest. Then she bought the Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food shop. Before selling the business the store, she worked for more than 18 years building it to the most successful shop. Many different cookbooks and magazines came later. Another hit was the Food Network Television show. She also sells all kinds of cooking equipment, supplies and containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself who has never been to a cooking class or employed in a kitchen. Her name is known for her unpretentious style of entertainment as well as her simple food preparation. Her most well-known dishes include Skillet roasted lemon chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & cheese Beef Bourguignon. Balsamic roast Brussels Sprouts, Lemon Bars and Mac & cheese.
